If he spends about 12 hours a day in a chat room full of strangers convinced they are his friends and doesn’t make an effort at all to make real life friends. He is 17. He goes to school online because he has anxiety to be in a reg. school. I guess my question is would this be considered an addiction if he really doesn’t have much of a life other than doing this all day or is that the reason he doesn’t have much of a life? He has always struggled with fitting in and friendships but when he found this chat room nearly 2 years ago it’s where he spends all of his time. He wants to be a rockstar someday but with emotional problems someday do you think he will make it? I guess I’m just looking for some insight into addictions and ppl who get all of their socialization online. Thanks

So have crazy mood swings. One day I could just feel so high on life and other days I hate myself and wanna end it all. I’ve been having a lot of suicidal thoughts lately. I do stupid crazy stuff that doesn’t make any sense. I’ll take like one or two xanax bars at once and huge chunks of my memory is so hazy I don’t remember anything. I smoke weed and cigarettes and coke and I have put myself in so many dangerous situations knowing they were dangerous and I really should have been killed. So my question is what is the problem thats making me feel soo down the drugs or the bipolar-which I don’t even know if I have? Whats wrong with me?

ok… Its not Josh Hamilton. He’s hitting 11/19 so hes only been around for the last 4-5 games. My buddy told me he was a 1st round pick out of high school and had addiction problems and was out of baseball for 3-4 years. This is basically this guys rookie year.
