I Have to Find a Drug Rehab in Kerrville, Texas. How Will I Do This?
Question by avianna ig: I have to find a drug rehab in Kerrville, Texas. How will I do this?
I need to do this for my best friend. I never thought that she would get herself involved in drugs, but now she has. A lot of our friends have already steered clear of her, but I really want to help her. I don’t know how, though. Any suggestions?

First off, does she want to be treated? If not, then I guess you would have to talk to her first or do a drug intervention. If she still doesn’t want to get treated, then I guess you would have to wait for her to make that decision on her own, at her own time. If she does agree to getting herself treated, then that’s good. The links below will be able to help you out in your search. Good luck!

I think you could call the local MHMR (Mental Health Mental Retardation) office and they could tell you. Or try TX Dept of Human Resources. You can locate a rehab, and tell her about it, but it will be for nothing unless she is ready to give up drugs. If she won’t, then all you can do is be her friend; offer moral support but no “loans”. Don’t pay her water bill, or buy her cigarettes, or put gas in her car. Don’t bail her out of jail. You should probably, for your own sake, limit the time you spend “running around” with her. She’s going to get busted if she hasn’t already, and if you are with her, you go, too. If you catch her in a sober moment, point out to her how her behavior hunts not only her, but everyone who cares about her, and ask her to get help. Until she is ready, though, there is really nothing you can do.
