Meth=Death?

Not really a question but a statement. In small towns like the one where I live in Indiana meth is so widely used. Due mainly to corn fields and anyhydrous ammonia being one of the main ingredients in meth. Yep theres more than corn in Indiana, there’s meth! My husband has been battling his addiction for three years. When he’s clean he’s awesome, not clean, he seems like he is dying. It makes you violent and you don’t care about anything but getting higher and higher. It will ruin your life!! So many people where I live have died because of it. Then there are the women who dont care enough aout the child they are carrying to quit. So there is the welfare system that has to pay for the children who have severe illnesses from it. If a woman tests positive for drugs during pregnancy her child should be taken away and she should spend life in prison because that is attempted murder. Would you ever want your newborn baby to have to withdrawl off drugs?

I saw that in Illinois when I was there, too (not Indiana, but pretty close in many ways). And I agree with you–that would probably be one of the worst things that a baby could be put through, especially because it is not of their own doing or even an act of nature but the doings of the parent. I don’t know if as a parent I would be able to face the fact that I caused that for my child and made their life so much harder than it already is.

But it’s great that your husband’s batteling his addiction. It’s much better than just giving in. Keep encouraging him along. Good for you in that.
